    You dont need to fit any battery, once the engine starts the instruments will start working

    some wont, seems to be the difference between the ones made in Thailand and Malaysia.

    Hi Mike. I tried that a while ago while charging the battery - display/revcounter only worked intermitently/flickered without the battery connected which didn't seem a good thing. Why would that be? Because of that I assumed that the instrument panel needed the battery to function. Do you recall what size frost plug fills the starter hole? Cheers.

    If they are blinky like yours just fit a 10,000 microfarad 25volt electrolytic capacitor in place of the battery that fixes it

    For someone who doesn't run a tacho or starter motor etc. at all, what would I need to do to eliminate the need for the battery?
