    Engine is back
New cams, valve springs, valve spring caps, cam chain tensioner, cylinder, piston, intake.... all kinds of buggeredupness sorted out. Big thanks to Wallace & Grumph for their help and advice. Now to sort out the jigsaw puzzle of fitting it back into the frame....

Haha that's what the Aussie said it had. What a load of BS. If it has what my FXR had I'll be happy. I'll be even happier if I make it to the BOB....

Getting there. The new inlet tract turned out to be a little too steep but an angled FXR carb rubber sorted that. Thanks Bren Had it on Wallaces dyno yesterday and its running. True to form tho a bit of crap Aussie home made engineering held us up for a few hours fixing a water leak from a shit made fitting on the side of the head that needs the engine removed to access it....... Initially its making the same hp as my FXR did and should be a little better with some fettling. However for some reason its cutting out randomly at low revs and then difficult to start again. The wiring on the thing is mickey mouse rubbish like the rest of the bike but I'd hoped it would do for now, so redoing that to see if that cures the issue. If we can get that solved I should be able to get it to the BOB. Here's hoping.....
